With the Return of Critters to TV, Should other classic low budget films make TV returns?

Under the excitement and success of things like Ash vs. the Evil Dead and now the announcement of Shutter bringing back Critters. It has many here at ROTM ask, "What other beloved films or B Rates could be brought back to modern times?" I Myself loved the concept of the critters since I was a kid. A bunch of killer "Tribbles" with sharp teeth and a bad attitude being hunted down by no nonsense space bounty hunters with the ability to shapeshift into any creature they look at. What is not to love there?

But as I count down the days to see the pilot I can't help now but to sit and think about what other lost jewels in film could make it today in modern fandoms. Could this be the return of Troma style charaters? With lower budgets and more practical effects? campier acting that for some reason we all just buy into and love?

Well if you ask me I say it's really about time. As I said before we know it worked with Ash vs. the Evil Dead, and I have no doubt it will work with Critters as well. So to me the answer is the easiest yes I could ever give. But what shows or movies could be brought into modern times? Monster Squad? Toxic Avenger? Hell even the old Hammer Horror Monsters? The possibilities are endless and for me would help break the constant stagnant stream of reality and hum drum television that has been plastered all over your evening viewing.

But why do I say 80's style movies? why put it into a bigone era? I have two reasons for that. One that is where alot of our favorite campy B rate film came from so it just fits, and two look at the success of Stranger Things or the reboot of Stephen King's IT. I'd even argue the love of Ready Player One for most of the story using Iconic 80's pop culture within.

In short, I can spend all day giving reasons and pridicting my choices of franchises I'd love to be able to watch fresh new stories of. However I'd more love to read what you guys think and would want to see!!! So here is where I turn this over to you, What Films or "Retro" Series would you like to see return to todays tv and film?
